1981 — 1999

Early years

Born on 8 December 1981 in the village of Mesana, Paphos district. Grew up in an ecclesiastical family, serving in his parish church from a young age.

1999 — 2007

Studies and monastic tonsure

Studied theology at the Faculty of Theology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Took monastic vows and was ordained a deacon.

2007 — 2023

Ministry as archimandrite

As archimandrite he served at the Holy Metropolis of Paphos as preacher and protosyngelos. He led a series of ecclesiastical initiatives, established catechetical schools and monastic brotherhoods.

2023

Election and enthronement

On 23 February 2023 he is elected — "by the vote of clergy and people" — 70th Metropolitan of Paphos by the Holy Synod of the Church of Cyprus. He is enthroned on 12 March 2023 at the Holy Cathedral of Saint Theodoros in Paphos.

2023 — 2025

Pastoral ministry

Through the two years of his pastorate in the Metropolis of Paphos, the Metropolis sees significant flourishing across every domain of its spiritual life — worship, catechesis, spiritual direction — as well as in its economic and administrative fields, where the figures are striking.

2025 — present

Deposition and appeal to the Ecumenical Patriarchate

On 22 May 2025 the Synod decides to depose him from the Metropolis of Paphos. He appeals to the Patriarchate, which on 17 October 2025 upholds the unjust decision.
